Protection & Intelligence Certificate Programs
ESI Close Protection Motto:
"Make No Wave, Leave No Track, See No Trail",
Jerry Glazebrook, Member ESI Board of Directors
The Residency Programs consist of an integrated academic and practical training curriculum that include three stand-alone Modules: The first Module is a 250 hour/28-Day Executive Protection course in executive, dignitary and celebrity security; the second Module consist of 250 hour/28-Day Special Operations course in high risk protective operations in Combat Zones; and the third Module is a 175 hour/18-Day course in Protective Intelligence. The Residency Programs can be taken as separate modules and are equivalent to the Distance Education/15-Day Resident Training Programs
The Resident Programs are an intelligence based curriculum with a special emphasis on preparing protection specialists to operate in corporate, celebrity and close personal protection in international and domestic venues. The program also incorporates civil police and military protocols in the principles of personal protection in high risk combat zones, including third world environments of Iraq, Afghanistan, and Bosnia. The career objective of this training is to prepare the ESI graduate for a professional occupation in close protection agent in a wide range of security requirements.
ESI's hallmark as a training academy in protection is its emphasis on operational intelligence as the basis of comprehensive personal and corporate security. As ESI enters its third decade of training, we continue to believe in the importance of well honed martial skills exemplified by protective formations, evasive driving, martial arts and shooting, but ESI also focuses its training philosophy on Pre-Emptive Intervention skills with an emphasis on Behavioral, Predictive and Proactive Intelligence. Our third Core Program, Protective Intelligence, deepens and broadens the protective agent's training in higher levels of personal and corporate security. ESI's core philosophy is that these skills are indispensable to any protection program, and is what distinguishes a Protection Specialist from a Bodyguard. Moreover, it is what distinguishes ESI from practically every other training organization in the world.
