Chief Instructor Bruce Carleton

Providing medical care in the tactical environment is a challenging task at best. This course strives to provide the high risk operator with a simplified system of emergency procedures to provide immediate basic medical care in the three stages of a tactical event: care under fire, immediate field care measures, and evacuation from the scene. Emphasis will be placed on trauma care (ballistic wounds, explosive injuries, burns, blunt force and penetrating trauma). The principles of care will take into account the hostile, austere, and chaotic environments that high risk protectors frequently operate in. No prior medical experience is required, a current CPR course is highly recommended.
