CQB Entry

Two days are devoted to Basic Combat Shooting for  Personal Security Details. This is a fast paced review of basic skills and rapidly advances to tactical shooting.  The course requires that  students have prior firearms experience or training in practical shooting skills that include draw from the holster, rapid fire at single and multiple targets at close range, movement in team formations and shooting at close quarter.

The Basic Combat Shooting component of this course stresses range safety, safe gun handling and elementary shooting skills. Prior to moving into CQB Tactical Shooting, all students are required to pass a Level Three Shooting Test. This section of the course emphasizes aiming, gripping, trigger squeeze, and sight picture on static silhouette targets. Once the basics are mastered and the patterns are within vital zones in the Level 3 Test, the student is allowed to shoot on the Steel Plate Reaction Target Range where the emphasis is on the draw from conceal carry, target acquisition and first shot hits.
