ESI ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
ESI Alumni Association Members - Graduates - Students
The 2007 Annual Conference of the ESI Alumni Association
TRAINING DATES 2008
The 2007 Annual Conference of the ESI Alumni Association, scheduled for Las Vegas; from the 17th through the 19th of August. If you are a member of the Association, we look forward to seeing you. If you are not yet a member, please come anyway - but it will cost you more $150 for members and $200 for non-members (so we welcome your membership and support).
Attendees have agreed 100 percent that the networking alone makes the whole experience valuable, and the presentations have received higher ratings than most professional educational conferences. This year we have again enticed some prominent industry representatives to participate in the NETWORK 2007 function, and, while this is not a job fair, it is a terrific opportunity to talk these to representatives and to establish a relationship. Bring an updated Resume!
PLEASE, if you plan to attend this year's Reunion, send your registration in to Fonda Holybee at the National Office.

GENERAL MEETING AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Bob Duggan and Martha Braunig - permanent
Pete Dordal - 3 Years
Steven Collins - 3 years
Lawrence Borgens -
Chad Clayton
Zelos Willis
Derek Van Driessche
Cory Smith
The Code of Ethics as submitted by Bob, was adopted unanimously. Martha reported that the membership of the Association doubled in its first year and the Board discussed a site for next year's conference. Las Vegas is most preferred location for annual ESI Reunion. Las Vegas provided access to the gaming security industry and low cost lodging and travel. The decision for the date will be made at the next Board meeting after some hotel costs are put together.
In between the presentations, “quality time” was spent devouring the excellent banquet provided by KC Poulin, President & CEO of Critical Intervention Services. Needless to say, it was an exceedingly full agenda, though there was ample time for networking, catching up with old friends, exchanging business cards, and making plans for next year’s get-together. The only problem – not enough time for sightseeing - We will work on that next year.

News from ESI Headquarters
ESI is working diligently to convert all courses to CD-ROM, with the eventual objective of providing online training as an alternative to the current books-and-paper mode. ESI is surveying our students to determine their preferences. ESI is also developing modular three and five day programs. More on this in the next newsletter.
With the upcoming new year, it is time for Alumni members to renew your membership and for all other graduates and students to join. An application for membership has been included with this newsletter. Please note that for 2002, dues will be as follows:
Graduates in good standing $65.00
Students in good standing $35.00
To maintain the professional tenor of the association, the term “in good standing” means just that . . . no unpaid accounts with ESI and students who are completing their education within a reasonable time. We were reaffirmed in San Antonio as to the high esteem awarded ESI credentials and the value attached thereto. We intend to maintain this honor.
The goals of the Association are printed on the back of the Application. Benefits include newsletters, discounts on attendance at the Annual Conference, and the valuable ESI Network.
