Tom Clare

Tom Clare is a Canadian where he operates a private investigation firm in Calgary. He graduated from ESI's Executive Protection Program in 1989, and from the Intelligence Gathering & Investigation Program in 1990. Tom always had a deep interest in photography which was enhanced by the Resident Training courses in Forensic and Surveillance Photography that he completed at ESI. From these courses and others such as Principles of Investigation and Interviews and Interrogation, he built a private investigation business centered on insurance fraud. His clients are insurance companies and law firms involved in legal battles over alleged personal injury in motor vehicle accidents. Tom interviews the victims and witnesses, photographs accident scenes, and conducts surveillance with photography, of individuals attempting to defraud insurance companies. His surveillance photographs have been used in court many times to defeat fraudulent claims and Tom says, "in all, private investigation meant a major career change for me, greatly assisted by the programs that I completed at ESI. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner."
