Security Specialist
(C.S.S.)
The Executive Protection program is an integrated academic and practical training curriculum consisting of the 450 hours in Distance Education and a 15-Day (150 hour) Resident Training in executive protection, dignitary and personal protection and celebrity security.
The Security Specialist Program combines the core programs of High Risk, Executive Protection and Protective Intelligence & Investigation. It affords the student the flexibility to design a course of instruction that is organized specifically to the student's needs.
- PSD Protective Operations
CQB Shooting
ESI offers a PSD Protective Operations Program consisting of nine Distance Education Courses and a 15-Day Resident Training. This program follows federal agency protocols of Personal Security Details (PSD) in high risk environments and incorporates the experience of operators who work in combat zones of Iraq, Afghanistan and Bosnia.
The course will focus on Protective Operations in High Risk Areas, Principal Briefings, Surveillance Detection and Countermeasures, Formations while working the Principal, Response to Assault on Principal (AOP), Explosives Recognition and Improvised Roadside Bomb Attacks.

Residency Programs
Corporate Security
The Residency Programs are a series of integrated academic and practical courses that are offered in three Modules: 28-Day Executive Protection, 28-Day PSD Protective Operations and 18-Day Protective Intelligence.
Each Module is approved and regulated for a Certificate of Completion by the Colorado Department of Higher Education and ESI’s performance Identification Credential for the C.P.S, C.S.O.P.S. and C.P.I.S.
- Shooting Courses
Tactical 1st Responder
ESI Defensive Shooting courses for close protection, personal self-defense and high speed Close Quarter Battle classes. Block 1is a Five Day Handgun Basic & Tactical Shooting Course; Block 2 is a 7-Day CQB Basic & Tactical Carbine & Handgun Course.
Tactical 1st Responder is a unique combination of Emergency Medical Skills necessary for a First Responder, plus Carbine, Handgun Close Quarter Battle and Empty Handed Combatives.
- 2012 EPIC-LIFEFORCE
CONFERENCE
The 2012 EPIC LIFEFORCE Conference will focus on Corporate Crisis Management, Corporate Response to Internet Vulnerabilities, and Protective Operations in Mexico. The conference will feature speakers from the global security divisions of TARGET, MICROSOFT, WALMART, MCDONALD’S. EATON and GARDA WORLD.
After nearly 30 years of training professionals in close protection and corporate security, a large number of ESI graduates have formed their own security companies and built impressive careers as protection specialists.
The ESI Alumni Association sponsors continuing education and networking for the next generation of graduates. The Alumni organizes annual training seminars and operates a large global Network for posting of jobs and security industry partnerships.










Keith Michael Cardinali 


Born and raised in Northern New Jersey, Mr. Cardinali has 15 years of experience in law enforcement and security services. In 1996 he began his public safety career as a Housing Patrol Officer in one of the toughest public housing projects in the state. Located on the border of Jersey City and Hoboken, Keith spent over four years as a young officer “walking the beat” in an area well known for having a high crime rate. During his time there, he received a Distinguished Service Award and a Lifesaving Award for dragging a man out from an apartment fire. Keith moved to North Texas and graduated from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Academy in 2001. He has served as a Police Officer in Dallas County gaining extensive training and experience in a variety of police services. He continues to serve the citizens of Dallas County today. Keith also served as a member of the Texas State Air Guard performing base security duties. In 2006 he was mobilized by the governor’s office to provide military support for Hurricane Katrina and Rita. He was honorably discharged with six years of service at the rank of Staff Sergeant. Keith has provided close-personal protection for corporate executives in the U.S. and while traveling abroad. He is an honor graduate of Executive Security International and a Certified Protective Driving Operator through the Vehicle Dynamics Institute. He is an active criminal justice and business major, and has completed accredited course work in crime prevention, criminology theory, crime scene forensics, business management, and leadership. His areas of expertise include crime prevention, community oriented policing, patrol operations, investigations, close – personal protection and risk assessments.
