The Executive Protection program is an integrated academic and practical training curriculum consisting of the 450 hours in Distance Education and a 15-Day (150 hour) Resident Training in executive protection, dignitary and personal protection and celebrity security.
The Security Specialist Program combines the core programs of High Risk, Executive Protection and Protective Intelligence & Investigation. It affords the student the flexibility to design a course of instruction that is organized specifically to the student's needs.
- Special Operations
(C.S.O.P.S.)
CQB Shooting
ESI offers a Special Operations Protection Program consisting of nine Distance Education Courses and a 15-Day Resident Training. This program follows federal agency protocols of Personal Security Details (PSD) in high risk environments and incorporates the experience of operators who work in combat zones of Iraq, Afghanistan and Bosnia.
The course will focus on Protective Operations in High Risk Areas, Principal Briefings, Surveillance Detection and Countermeasures, Formations while working the Principal, Response to Assault on Principal (AOP), Explosives Recognition and Improvised Roadside Bomb Attacks.
- Protection & Intelligence Residency Programs

The Residency Programs are a series of integrated academic and practical courses that are offered in three Modules: 28-Day Executive Protection, 28-Day Special Operations and 18-Day Protective Intelligence.
Each Module is approved and regulated for a Certificate of Completion by the Colorado Department of Higher Education and ESI’s performance Identification Credential for the C.P.S, C.S.O.P.S. and C.P.I.S.
- Shooting Courses

ESI offers a series of basic and tactical shooting courses for close protection, personal self-defense and high speed Close Quarter Battle classes as stand-alone courses.
All Tactical shooting Blocks require passage of the Basic level course in order to qualify to enroll in advanced shooting.
- ESI Alumni Association

After nearly 30 years of training professionals in Executive Protection and Intelligence, a large number of ESI graduates have formed their own security companies and built impressive careers as protection specialists.
The ESI Alumni Association continues the work of education and networking for the next generation of graduates. The Alumni organizes annual training seminars and operates a large global Network for posting of jobs and security industry partnerships.
- Anti-Kidnapping /
Anti-Secuestro
ESI-Mexico offers an Anti-Kidnapping / Anti-Secuestro Protection & Intelligence Program it's a custom designed curriculum taught in Spanish throughout Mexico and Latin America.
The Anti-Kidnapping staff is an international group of ESI's renown American, Mexican and Colombian intelligence officers who have incomparable experience dealing with terrorist and mercenary attacks on private and public families.
Unlike the Programs offered in the U.S., the Spanish language training is not Open Enrollment to individuals. ESI's Program is offered exclusively to corporate and governmental agencies by contractual agreement after consultation with the needs of the client.







Chad Clayton 


Chad Clayton CPP, Certified Protection Professional, has over fourteen years of security and investigative industry experience and is Board Certified in Security Management through ASIS International. During the past fourteen years, he has managed a wide variety of projects for corporations in a variety of industries. Most recently, he supported a national contract for a major retailer providing robbery suppression for up to 30 locations at once all across the country. He has provided short-term special event protective services for former Heads of State, presidential candidates, sports celebrities, and entertainers all of whom were key note speakers at corporate functions and motivational seminars in a variety of venues throughout the United States. Prior to this he managed a full time executive protection program for a financial services corporation for four years. He also arranged for secure transportation services for executives traveling to high risk destinations throughout Central & South America for companies in the transportation and entertainment industries. Chad has developed and managed a workplace violence response and management program for several Fortune 500 corporations providing security assistance and contingency planning for corporate downsizings, plant closings, terminations and labor disputes throughout the United States. In 2005 Chad deployed and led a tactical security team to secure Children’s Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana after it’s evacuation due to hurricane Katrina’s destruction and the civil unrest that followed. He served as the senior on-site hospital representative and was the liaison with National Guard and various law enforcement agencies in protecting the hospital and its assets. On September 11, 2001 he established an armed uniformed security force for the protection of a critical infrastructure for a utility company. He is a 1993 graduate of Executive Security International’s advanced executive protection program and has an Associate in Arts Degree from the Blue River Community College. He is an N.R.A certified Law Enforcement / Security Firearms Instructor in handgun and shotgun. Chad has conducted a variety of investigations as well and has hundreds hours of advanced training in violence assessment, prevention and management, interview and interrogation, eavesdropping countermeasures, defensive tactics, and Crime Prevention through Environmental Design.
