Mr. Heyward is a 2004 graduate of ESI’s Advance Executive Protection Program. The completion of the C.P.S. with a level one designation is a significant accomplishment in a long list of career successes for Mr. Heyward. With 20 years of security and protection service, medical and rescue/operations, Mr. Heyward brings to the table a broad range of professional experience.

Mr. Heyward offers force protection for executive personnel, special events and policing operations, with strength in providing physical security for facilities, tactical operations for special events, close-quarter security for celebrities/VIPs, and transportation of high-risk prisoners nationally.  Benny has been well received and sought after since graduating in 2004.

Employment history includes service as a Certified Emergency Medical Technician (2004), and Police Officer with the City of Concord, CA – all skills that support and enhance his recent C.P.S. certification.  Serving in these capacities demonstrates Benny’s ability to work in high stress situations, make critical decisions and adapt to situations with control, clear orientation and decisiveness. Serving as a police officer, Mr. Heyward has trained in various legal aspects of law enouncement, security work and personal protection as well as extensive training in the martial arts (Japanese and Chinese Styles).  Mr. Heyward is certified to carry concealed weapons, and has completed specialized training in firearms, defensive shooting, weapons training, munitions and explosives. Benny builds a framework of protection for his client that is not limited to close quarter protection, but has expanded to include larger aspects of protection service from facility observation and surveillance, to client transportation, crowd control, perimeter security, and emergency evacuation procedures.

Advancing from a career in the United States military into police work and eventual work as a Personal Protection Specialist with KCMC Enterprises, Benny has gained valuable insight and first hand experience into what makes executive and personal protection strategies effective and valuable. During Benny’s service with the United States Army, he has served in combat and security operations in northern Iraq, with extensive experience in international travel and operational management. During this service, he was recognized and awarded on numerous occasions. Mr. Heyward’s specialized protection and military training includes: Extremism/Chemical/Biological Terrorism - Jack McGeorge (PSG, 2004), Advanced First Aid & Trauma Stabilization Course (US Army, 2004), Defensive Shooting Tactics – Tony Pagni (ESI, 2004), Anti-Terrorist Level I Awareness Training (US Army, 2003), Drivers Awareness Training (Regional Parks Police Dept., 2002), Firearms in Close Quarters Battle – CQB (US Army, 2002), Peace Officers Standards and Training (Level II – Reserves, 2001), Advance Leadership and Management Course (US Army, 1996), Field Recruiter (US Army, 1996).

High profile clients for personal protection and security services, including promoters of large-scale entertainment events, have sought Benny out.  He was intimately involved in the planning and execution of event security for entertainment company executives and staff. Mr. Heyward has conducted comprehensive event security for the HBO-WBC Super Featherweight Title Fights, and performed close protection services and venue security for ESPN2’s Friday Night Fights in San Francisco, CA.

High profile music groups and bands have contracted with Mr. Heyward and have trusted his judgment in providing security for their events, facilities and key personnel.
